Cubby house Hobikken Twin

Nordic Design, warm and comfortable, with two rooms. This cubby house is inspired by Nordic architecture, with predominately warm colours and red and dark tones. The cubby house Hobikken Twin is made in birch plywood. Its Nordic style and modern design, characteristic of the SmartPlayhouse houses, made it a modern and warm garden cubby house at the same time. The wood that has been used is highly resistant to the weather. In addition, in all outdoor playhouses the floor is mounted elevated from the ground, which allows the circulation of air under the house.

Materials

The main material of this cubby house is Birch plywood. It is a material that is highly resistant since it’s made of a dense wood and glued with phenolic resins ideal for wet environments. The board comes with a sealant to water on the edges and two coats of water-based paint, which gives it a high resistance to weathering. The colors outside around the windows are black, and sides in brown semi-transparent (teak & mahogany). The interior is painted in teak + transparent. The indoor flooring is also made of Birch plywood with phenolic glue. The top layer of the floor is finished with a non-slip material, similar to those used on slides and other children’s playground equipment. The roof of this cubby house is made on birch plywood 18mm thick, and has thermal insulation (Rockwool) and precast waterproof EPDM rubber material with a water drain pipe incorporated, to guarantee total water tight closure. Wall finishing with 8 aluminum bars, and gravel over roof.

Assembly

The assembly of this cubby house is very simple. In 4-5h will be ready to play.

Doors and windows

Cubby house has one door with design handles and finger protection in the hinge area, 2 operable windows, and 4 stationary windows. All made with methacrylate for safety. The door that opens outward for security reasons.
